Making scallop shell trinket trays
If you are looking to make some personal gifts this Christmas then scallop shell trinket trays could be the answer!
Grab some scallop shells (Amazon has them if you haven't got a local source), some pretty napkins and your favourite IOD Moulds and off you go.
It's best to paint the shells white to give you an even base, then decoupage the top sheet of the napkin on to it. I used air dry clay to cast various moulds to glue to the 'hinge' of the scallop and then use gold paint to complete the finish.
I've sealed the decoupage with a gloss varnish to add an extra bit of bling.
